Have you ever been so lit on an airplane that Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force scrambles fighters to shoot you down?

If she hijacks the plane and flies towards Westminster, it is definitely the preferred strategy.

I’ve only flown less than a handful of times. Never across the Atlantic.

As far as I’m aware it’s standard practice to intercept the aircraft and escort it to a designated airport if there is a disruptive passenger, etc.. . on board.
Especially when the individual had assaulted some of the stewards and tried to charge the cockpit.

Maybe, just maybe the thousands of people living nearby in the 8million+ population city which is near the British security services building and the U.S. Embassy. Just saying. Lol.

Probably (hopefully?) not the preferred strategy, but I guess it is a strategy.

Plane was headed for Turkey, and apparently they thought hijacking was a risk, so I’m gonna guess alcohol wasn’t a factor.

May be more Boeings lying over soon (granted possibly 2023 at the earliest) after BA put in an order for 200 737Maxs.

Can’t say I have. I did have a BA flight once where the flight attendant gave me a whole pile of those mini wine bottles, but certainly not enough for me to get into “this might be a hijacking” mode.

That’s a negative ghost rider. With the locked cockpit doors I can’t see how a crazy woman’s going to take over a plane.

I know you are mate.
This Brexit shite is getting right on my tits now.
With the whole May leaving and now the battle for the Tory leadership. At least with Rory Stewart, he was an un heard of but he was taken out early on. Then it went down to Gove, Hunt and Johnston, then Hunt and Johnston.
I don’t want Johnston getting in.
That’ll mean Corbyn for La bour or Johnston for Conservative. Both absolute idiots of the highest order.
Maybe if we can get trumpy, Johnston, Farage, Corbyn and Geert Wilders on a 737Max, that’ll be grand.

I feel like, if there is no weapon involved, any passenger who was rowdy enough to involve the RAF would be on the receiving end of a boot party before jets were called.

There’s so much crazy going on these days.
In the last 20 years it seems people have become more aggressive and hateful, everything that goes wrong is someone else fault. Nobody acce p ts the blame for their own actions, everyone wants to sue or be compensated in some way.
People don’t want to be labelled then they actively go out to label themselves different from others while at the same time saying we should all be equal and unite as one but say anything against them then you become, ‘the problem’, the racist, the chauvinist , the anti-feminist, the colonialist, etc...

I think the biggest problem is politicians for a generation have gotten lazy in selling the conflict, without any plan how to go about solving it. The bug is that where as 50 years ago things would defuse and everyone will shake hands, politicians have let the genie out of the bottle.
It has been fascinating watching Brex it interviews/ debates on how it mirrors the US health care deabte from a few years ago. The only difference is that in the US there was no countdown clock running and no negotiation process so it was shown there was no plan. . Meanwhile May had delayed only furthering resentment among sides in the UK, for a plan that was sure to piss off everyone.

The thing is it was a clusterfuck on both sides in the U.K., then a clusterfuck between the U.K. and the E.U. What Brexit amounts to is a divorce with the children being ‘free trade with Europe’, ‘border control on immigrants’ (which we couldn’t have if we wanted free trade), etc... only the divorce was between us and 27 other countries who couldn’t give us free trade without concessions and wouldn’t give us it as other countries may follow suit.
It was always going to be crazy, but everyone was miss-sold Brexit on both sides, I can only hope to wake one day and parliament say, 'right this has been a shit-show, we're maintaining the status quo and Brexit is closed, everyone back to work!'.
